My Weekend in Idaho
I didn’t think of myself as someone who would enjoy Idaho. I pictured fields of potatoes and lots of heat. After getting an invitation to my college bestie’s wedding, I knew it would be one of the only times my boyfriend and I would have the chance to explore this mysterious state.
Idaho, you really outdid yourself. Our second evening in Ketchum, we took a gondola ride up to 7,500 ft and watched the pink & orange sunset atThe Roundhouse while looking down at Sun Valley. Talk about a great first impression.
I explored a bit on my own Saturday morning and enjoyed my matcha green tea latte with almond milk at Java on Fourth. You can take the girl out of California…
Great news! They didn’t even scoff when I asked for almond milk! I guess lactose intolerance is becoming as acceptable as gluten-free these days.
Aside from the wedding, one of my favorite parts of the trip was our hike up on Bald Mountain near Sun Valley Lodge. I had to take the opportunity to sport my favorite bandana by OliRose with the token “Bridesmaid” tank and proclaim to everyone we passed that, “the girl in the white is the BRIDE!” Oh, how I love embarrassing my closest friends.
A big hats off to Bella Bridesmaids for making all of us girls feel beautiful on our friend’s big day. Because…hey! A bridesmaid gets a lot of photos on her friend’s wedding day, and she needs to feel a little bit special as well.
